L'Humidor was born in Barcelona and we still keep the fabrication workshop and technical office here. That means three concrete things for projects in the city and metropolitan area: fast technical visit (usually within a week of first contact), shorter installation lead time thanks to direct logistics, and face-to-face coordination with your architect or interior designer when needed. More than 30 % of the +2,500 cellars we have delivered have been installed in Barcelona, Pedralbes, Sarrià, Sant Just Desvern, Castelldefels, Sant Cugat or the Costa Brava.
Barcelona\'s Mediterranean climate poses different challenges from Madrid\'s continental one. Salt-laden air in coastal areas (Diagonal Mar, Castelldefels, Sitges) requires anti-corrosion finishes for any exposed hardware and compressors. Average ambient humidity (60-65 % RH) reduces humidifier load, but summer heat waves force a 20-30 % oversizing of climate control compared to a same-size project in Madrid.
