Bespoke cigar humidor with Cedar

Cigar humidors
for tobacconists and clubs.

Cedar, constant 70% RH, UV-free LED lighting and dedicated climate control. Projects ranging from room humidors to walk-ins holding thousands of cigars for private clubs.

What we design

Preserving a cigar
is a precise science.

A Cohiba Behike, a Partagás Serie D or a limited-edition Davidoff are living objects. Each continues its maturation inside the humidor for years, and any deviation in temperature or humidity irreversibly alters combustion, draw and aromatic profile. We design humidors that maintain the 70% RH / 18°C equilibrium with the same precision with which a wine cellar preserves 14°C for a grand cru.

Elite technical features

Cedar, absolute
hygrometric control.

  • Cedar interior lining. Authentic Cedrela odorata, cured for a minimum of 12 months. No lacquers, no treatments, only hand-planed and finely finished.
  • Digital humidity control. 70% RH ±1% with a cartridge, electronic or active-salt humidifier depending on volume.
  • Dedicated climate control. 18°C ±0.5°C with a low-noise compressor and a fully insulated envelope.
  • Laminated glass with UV filter. Double pane with argon cavity to prevent thermal fluctuations from indirect solar radiation.
  • UV-free LED lighting. Warm 2,700 K with opening sensors. Protects the wrapper and aromas.
  • Removable cedar trays. Configurable for corona, robusto, Churchill, Behike or limited-edition formats.
  • Separation by typology. Dedicated zones for storage, service, ageing and private collection with independent control.
  • Verified hermeticity. Triple door seal with pressure test. The cedar does not breathe to the exterior.
  • Deviation alerts. Remote monitoring via mobile app with temperature and humidity history graphs.
  • Annual maintenance included. Annual probe calibration included.

From the traditional tobacconist
to the private cigar lounge.

Each humidor responds to a different operation: a high-end tobacconist in central Madrid, a private cigar lounge in a five-star hotel in Marbella, a tasting room adjacent to a wine cellar, or a collector's private collection. In each case, we study the real use and design the humidor around it.

  • Room humidor. For traditional tobacconists and private clubs. Capacity 200–2,000 cigars, laminated glass, scenic lighting.
  • Vertical tower. For small tobacconists with limited floor space. High capacity in a small footprint, with removable cedar drawers.
  • Walk-in room. An enclosed room you enter. Thousands of cigars organised by brand, origin and vintage. For chains and hotels.
  • Home humidor. For private collectors. Integrated into a study, library or social area, with luxury furniture finishes.
  • Private cigar lounge. Humidor + tasting room + armchairs + calibrated extraction. All compliant with applicable regulations.

Frequently asked questions

About bespoke humidors.

Why Cedar on the interior?

Cedar (Cedrela odorata) is the world reference wood for humidors for three reasons: it absorbs and releases moisture without imparting foreign flavours, it naturally deters wood-boring insects, and it imparts the characteristic aroma that ages the cigar under optimum conditions.

What parameters does a professional humidor maintain?

Constant temperature between 16°C and 20°C (ideal 18°C) and stable relative humidity between 65% and 72% RH (ideal 70%). Prolonged deviations outside this range dry out or over-moisten the cigar, damaging combustion and flavour.

Do you work for large tobacconists and chains?

Yes. We design everything from room humidors for individual tobacconists (200–2,000 cigars) to walk-in rooms holding thousands of cigars for chains, private clubs and luxury hotels with Havana room service.

Can it be integrated into a club or lounge space?

It is one of our specialities. Walk-in humidors with an adjacent tasting room, leather armchairs, smoke extraction calibrated for cigar lounges. All compliant with applicable regulations in each region.

What is the minimum acceptable cedar curing period for a professional humidor?

Cedrela odorata cedar must be kiln-dried and naturally cured for a minimum of 12 months before installation. Uncured cedar releases resinous compounds that interfere with the cigar's aromatic profile. We verify moisture content (target: 8–10%) before any piece enters the workshop.

What is the capacity range for bespoke humidors?

Room humidors for tobacconists: 200 to 2,000 cigars. Vertical towers: high capacity in a small footprint. Walk-in humidors for chains, luxury hotels and private clubs: 2,000 to 20,000 cigars. All formats are designed around the real usage pattern: daily rotation, long-term ageing or collector display.

How is humidity regulated in a large walk-in humidor?

Active digital humidification using electronic or ultrasonic humidifiers with demineralised water, controlled by high-precision capacitive sensors at multiple heights. The system maintains 70% RH ±1% continuously. Remote monitoring via mobile app with humidity and temperature history graphs.

How long does a bespoke professional humidor project take?

Between 8 and 14 weeks from sign-off. Room humidors and vertical towers are at the shorter end. Walk-in humidors with adjacent tasting rooms and bespoke joinery take 12–14 weeks. We pre-assemble fully in our Barcelona workshop before transport to site.

What is the best approach to commissioning a professional humidor for a tobacconist?

Start with the available floor plan, target cigar capacity, any brand or aesthetic references and the operational model. Joan Serrate, with over 30 years of experience designing humidors for tobacconists, luxury hotels and private collectors, responds within 48 hours. Technical site visit and prior 3D render are free of charge.

What glass specification is used for a professional humidor display?

Argon-filled laminated glass with an integrated UV filter (380 nm cut-off) and low emissivity. The UV filter prevents bleaching of wrapper colour and degradation of volatile aromatic compounds. Optional ultra-transparent anti-reflective glass maximises display quality.

Are there warranty and maintenance programmes for professional humidors?

Yes. The first annual probe calibration visit is included: humidity and temperature sensor verification, door seal inspection, UV-filter check and cedar condition assessment. Multi-year preventive maintenance contracts are available. Remote monitoring via mobile app provides continuous alerts before any deviation becomes a problem.
