Marbella concentrates two technical challenges absent from inland projects: ambient salinity and summer heat peaks. For a cellar or humidor exposed to those two variables, technical decisions shift toward durability and redundancy. Salt-laden air attacks any exposed metal: within five years, hardware on a standard commercial wine cabinet shows visible corrosion and compressors begin to lose performance. That's why, in Marbella, Golden Mile, Nueva Andalucía, Sotogrande or Benahavís projects, we systematically specify AISI 316 stainless steel (not 304), specific anti-corrosion treatments on hardware and place compressors in interior technical rooms isolated from outside air.
